Missiya Vyponena!

This week Russia opened the Kerch Strait Bridge, connecting Crimea with Russia. The Washington Times tells us:
This week, Vladimir Putin officially opened the recently-constructed Kerch Strait Bridge that the Russian president commissioned to connect the newly-annexed Crimean Peninsula to the Russian mainland. To commemorate the occasion, Mr. Putin led a convoy of new trucks across the $3 billion, 12-mile bridge, the longest span in Europe.
Putin driving lead truck in ceremonial first convoy is impressive feat of propaganda, nyet?

We must admit we're impressed. The man can flatten Chechnya and get a huge bridge built. If you ever needed a reason for the cult of Putin, there it is.

The annexation of Crimea is a done deal.

We don't love the new reality, but frankly, we just don't care.
