Going Dutch

So we're writing Before the Weser.

We got a lot of guys with names like Van Gorp and Vandenblus, and Baas and Rikts and Van Bloon running around northwestern Germany shooting commies and blowing stuff up.

Here we are, describing another corps level deployment. Yep, 1st Infantry Division is going to hold the wood line while 2nd Mechanized Division anchors the right flank along Route-1 egressing from Bremen. Meanwhile our intrepid Dutch I Corps Commander can trust two German reservist brigades to hold Odenburg to the north. Nope, no problems there.

What's with that American battery of 155 mm long toms and why does there CO want to see Major General Baas so bad?

Good god, man. We've written this all before. We might just take all the names from the bad guys in Lethal Weapon II just to mess with you people. If someone starts talking about diplomatic immunity you'll know we've flipped.

Look! Nederland F-16s! Orange Flight approaching!

You people really need this?...you do...you really do, don't you? You mean, you....I....but....ok...ok...

Next you're going to tell me you want a scene where the Netherland's war cabinet debates what to do...No...I'm not writing it...no way....I mean...just....aw c'mon, man!

You fucking people....
