A Super Bowl 25 years on

Twenty-five years ago today the Dallas Cowboys defeated the Buffalo Bills in Super Bowl XXVIII.

It was January, 1994 and we were a Sophomore at Wesley College, Dover Delaware. We were at the peak of our beer pounding fraternity days and doing our best Animal House with Alpha Chi Rho. We were AXP!

That semester we were surprised with a new roommate, Mike. Mike was a local guy who wanted to get out of the house. He was something of a square, really.

We had a great idea for the Super Bowl XXVIII dorm party. The previous year Dallas annihilated Buffalo, who turned the ball over nine times. We thought it'd be fun to do a shot for every Bills' turnover.

It was a nice little party with young men who became life long friends. The Johnnie Walker was prepped and we were ready to go. It was determined that a fumble with a recovery merited a swig. Mike invited his girlfriend over for the game, a local high school senior.

We don't know what that girl thought of our frat-boy antics, so we'll ask her when she gets home.
