Stroock says no deal to Border Deal no Deal

Last night congressional negotiators were stuck on wall funding and the number of detention center beds. A deal emerged just as Trump was speaking in El Paso.

Ari Fleischer makes a good point about the deal:

Sign it. I hope potus signs the spending agreement. There are 2 ways to look at it: Trump now can build 55 miles of the 64 mile wall expansion he sought. That’s a win. Ds won on less $ than Trump wanted. Both sides can claim victory. That’s a good outcome in divided gvt.

But we don't want both sides to claim victory. We want to bring pressure upon the Dems, split the caucus, humiliate the Dems and make them bend the knee.

Trump's has just had a great rally and has an approval in the 50s, and that's after 4 + weeks of a government shutdown. Nothing happened the last time. In fact, no even one noticed.

There is no reason not to go for total victory.

We say, no deal. 

Let the Democrats argue in favor of letting illegal Mexicans go and leaving the border open.

Meanwhile Trump can barnstorm the border making the case.
