Deterrents North and South

An interesting speech by retiring IDF General Gadi Eisenkot in which he says they came within a 'hair's breadth' of war with Hezbollah and they 'thwarted' Iran's nuclear program.

What does that mean and why would he say so publicly?

In other news last Friday Hamas cancelled the weekly 'March of Return' riots, showing they control their side of the border and the marches are a staged show.

So why did they back off?

We suspect Bibi called up Hamas and said, 'You know what looks good in an election? Me bombing Hamas to oblivion.'

Say it with us, 'Deterrent'. Can you say 'Deterrent'?

Hezbollah has a deterrent of 150,000 missiles. Which is why we think of war with Hezbollah and shudder.
