Why not Just Write?

If the reader(s) ever wondered why we like to use 'we' instead of 'I' on this blog, read this piece.

The article is about a woman in the publishing industry. She's 40ish, single, in debt and has an MFA, Master in Fine Arts which means creative writing.

That's right, she went to college to learn how to write.

No wonder she's so angry.

You know how we learned to write? We wrote, a hundred magazine articles, thirteen novels and two history books. All that in 15 years.

We're loath to advise young authors. Ya'll have to figure this out for yourself. One does that by writing everyday. You can take the weekend off if you want. We don't.

We do have one other rule we'll share. Never get involved in a land war in Asia, and never major in creative writing.
