Liberal Jews to Bibi: Drop Dead

Yet another article on the growing schism between Israel and American Jews. This time liberal Jews oppose Israeli annexation of West Bank settlement blocs:

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s election victory risks deepening the divide between Israel and Diaspora Jewry, US Jewish leaders have said in the campaign’s aftermath, especially if he follows through on his election-eve promise to annex West Bank settlements.

Such a move would alienate the Jewish state from most American Jews, who overwhelmingly lean left of center, and divide the American Jewish community on Israel’s moral standing, the heads of several powerful Jewish organizations told The Times of Israel.

It must be embarrassing to have to explain to the jet set in Los Angeles and New York that while you're Jewish you don't support 'that man'.

We here at William Stroock dot blogspot dot com are amused by liberal Jew's unconscious assumption that Israel should take security risks just to make them comfortable. Has it ever occurred to these people that they're the ones who are wrong?
