After we posted on the 70's classic film Raid on Entebbe, Harris asked about the Seven Days at Entebbe film released last year, and said he'd heard it was sympathetic to the terrorists.
We haven't seen it either.
There is a semi-sympathetic character in Raid on Entebbe, one Wilfred Boese who we get to know through his conversations with hostage Dan Cooper. Boese is doing an evil act, but he is really just a lost soul.
When the Israelis fight their way into the terminal, Boese picks up a pair of grenades and gets ready to throw them into the crowd of hostages. Cooper sees Boese, faces the man and looks at him with defiance and contempt for the act he is about to commit. Shamed, Boese puts his grenades down, picks up his rifle and is soon killed by the Israeli commandos. Thus Boese gets his soul back.
