We suppose we should comment on the South Carolina primary today. Trump's gonna win. Yippie. Yes we see the polls showing Joe in big trouble. Sorry, we just don't think it matters. The Regime will do what it must to keep Trump out of office. If those machinations fail, the means of voting and counting are Fortified. We see nothing to indicate the GOP is ready to ballot harvest or litigate post 'election day'. In two to three years Kamala Harris will be president of the United States.
Happy Ukraine War anniversary, Vlad, Vol, and all those who celebrate. You know guys, this war killed what was a pretty good idea for a technothriller novel. Putin's War would have seen a Sino-Russian war with last minute intervention by the US, with the USN bombing the Three Gorges Dam. Oh well. [Why? Why can't you just update it?] Well because...hmmmm.
We've been thinking a lot about what we want to write. Despite a few distractions, War Night and Other Stories of the Great Nuclear War of 1975, is on track to come out at the end of the year. We've still no idea what the War Night story is about.
We still haven't come up with a short story for that anthology to which we've been asked to contribute. We're starting that project on Monday, no matter what. We'll come up with something.
That still leaves the summer sneak in. To be honest we'd really like to write something other than a World War 1990 novel. We're sick of thinking about missiles, and prime ministers, and who's the guy who hands the thing to the captain, and so on. Can't we just leave Thatcher's War till the fall?
We've got ideas, but really have no idea which idea we want to write. We'll talk about those ideas tomorrow.
Oh look, World War 1990: The Final Storm has 132 ratings and a 4.4 start average. The reading public has spoken, and says that Will is among the best there is at what he does.
The Things.
There's still only one thing, World War 1990: Norway, and it's great. We spent all week working on Hauk fast attack craft scenes and they're coming along splendidly. Simultaneous like, on Thursday we began the last readthrough of Norway and are 1/3rd done. What we've read looks good, as good as we can make it.
