Wednesday Afternoon Ennui

And a good Wednesday afternoon to Stroock's Books reader(s) across the hemispheres.

I24 News Reports, 'Negotiators pursue brief ceasefire, without guarantee for the release of Israeli hostages, to buy time for talks on longer truce.' Time is running out and prospects don't look good for a truce. Israel has been using these weeks to consolidate its hold on the rest of Gaza and gather intel on Rafah. One day we will learn Bibi's government never intended to make a deal. Best guess: no deal.

These guys are total A-holes. Via the Jerusalem Post, a Haredi newspaper argues they should be excused from the draft because Torah study is crucial to Israeli security. 'The newspaper editorial was titled "And we bit him like a donkey," which suggested the attitude of Torah students toward the rest of the population. The article attacked the secular public and made the opinion clear that learning Torah is of higher value than equality in the burden IDF service.'

Super Tuesday last night. Trump romped. Haley's out. Whatever, man. We we're on dad-Taxi duty till 9:15, listening to the excellent Stephen L. Miller's podcast. Strongly recommend him.
