Shabbat Shalom, Stroock's Books reader(s). It's still scorching here in New Jersey and will remain scorching through the weekend. We're tempted to don a cloak, take up a staff, and wander the desert for 40 years. Fun Chindia fact, all of our neighbors are completely Americanized to the heat, meaning they have first-rate AC systems.
Dance is over. We had the last day of school. We attended the graduation ceremonies which must needs be attended. Time to crank up Phineas and Pherb and enjoy the summer, 'There's a hundred and four days of summer vacation...' If you know, you know...Hmmmm and right now the kids are home and underfoot. We always forget that part.
We had an excellent weightlifting session at the gym yesterday morning. Saw a young man wearing a kipa, and yes, we were wearing our Israeli flag shirt. Later we two Chosen People of God hit the gym's smoothie bar and opened a new chapter of Zionists Global. Also, we looked at a few movie treatments. We particularly liked one script about an older, distinguished, handsome man who's a college professor and writer by day and an Israeli commando at night.
So alright, the Israeli 162nd Armored Division is tearing through Gaza, crossing all the Regime's redlines, and dismantling Hamas there. The Rafah operation is proceeding exactly how operations elsewhere in Gaza have proceeded. Yet no more hostages are rescued, no Sinwar. We admit to being a bit disappointed. Bibi is finally, vaguely, talking about 'day after' plans for Gaza, these includes Arab countries. Good. Make the Arabs responsible for Gaza.
Hot Air reports/speculates that Iran already has nukes. We think this is more likely than not. That would be an Obama/Biden failure, obviously. But it'd be a Netanyahu failure too. What have you been doing the last decade and a half, Bibi? To be fair the answer to that question is 'a lot'. Meanwhile war with Hezbollah his more likely today than it was yesterday. Good. If Iran does have nuclear weapons, we can't think of a better reason to drive Hezbollah off the Israeli border.
As it's our dad's birthday, we're off to New York State for lunch at Epstein's and the traditional Stroock family sojourn to Ferncliff where we will commune with dead relatives and tell really bad cemetery jokes.
