Mid July has set in early here in northern New Jersey, making for humid and overcast weather. It's just kind of steamy out there at 6:47 AM.
The summer solitude moroseness is here in full effect. Why by the end of next week we'll be in mid-July and two weeks after that, August will begin. The summer is already slipping away [It's July 6th, knobhead-Ed]. We console ourselves with the knowledge that by late August we're sick of summer and anticipating September's cool autumnal air.
Okay, we did resistance training, cardio, weights, took Tuesday off, and then repeated. A hell of a week at the gym, even if we were gassed yesterday.
The Things.
We had a decent enough week with World War 1990: Thatcher's War and have written the rough, more or less, of a chapter showing a busted SAS raid on an IRA weapons stash house. Reminder, we are taking things slow. World War 1990: Thatcher's War is 16,000 words. We've still a tonne of research to do.
Ambush at Lingayen Gulf is coming along just fine. All the bits are falling into place. In fact, we're going to attempt to finish the rough draft this weekend. It's just there. What can we say?
