Will's Good Idea for the Week of 8/25/24

Good afternoon, Stroock's Books reader(s), from poolside, Long Beach Island. We arrived yesterday afternoon in time for a pool session and an evening sojourn bayside. We didn't quite make the sunset. But we did see a shark in the water, easily identifiable by the fin sticking out of the water [Very observant - Ed]. 

Wow, the Israelis pulled a Pearl Harbor on Hezbollah last night as they were preparing to launch. Hezbollah managed an indirect hit on an Israeli Navy ship, and took out a farmer's chickencoop*, but otherwise they're attack did nothing but cost them hundreds of launchers and thousands of missiles. The Israelis have some intel apparatus. You know what the imams say. Anyway, wow.*

We've been doing some beach reading on the IRA, Britain's Special Branch, and 14 Intel Company - the Det. Interesting stuff. The more we learn, the more we know, as they say. The more we loath.

Moving on to Will's Good Idea for the Week of 8/25/24...we'll sit out on the porch in the evenings, giving the completed parts of War Night a read through. We like it out here in the breeze, and doing something productive beats doom scrolling the news. 

*This is already an internet thing. It's a damn shame what they did to those chickens. Think of the clucking and feathers flying everywhere. Okay, jokes aside, enjoy this moment because there will be another moment, maybe a worse moment.
