Tuesday and Still Jewy

Not a good day for New York sports. Not a good day at all.

The Dodgers are just better than the Yankees, that's it. Psst, this blog doesn't believe the Yankees are that good to begin with. Soheil Ohtani won the WBC last year and will win the WS this year. Impressive. Most impressive.

The New York Giants played a lot better than we thought they would against the Steelers of Pittsburg. Quarterback Daniel Jones looked thoroughly mediocre, which is better than he's looked all year.  But an L is an L.

Your Israeli news whip around for 10/29/24...

The Jews are getting their space lasers, reports JNS. Iron Beam will go live next year. Iron Beam is shorter range, but much, much cheaper than Iron Dome. Iron Bean will drastically change the operational calculus. The Jew's Weather Machine is in final trials now. If a massive hurricane hits Yemen, readers will know why.

Israel Rader says a Lebanon ceasefire deal is in the works. Click on over to see the outline. The terms are most favorable to Israel.

The Knesset has voted to ban UNWRA from Israel. Whine more, international community.

Via The Times of Israel a new poll of Israelis says: 'Asked who they prefer to be the next US president, 66 percent chose the former president, while only 17% say they want to see the US vice president win the election. A further 17% said they did not know.' Well duh. One candidate's rally has Israeli flags, one has 'Palestinian' flags. Here in America, Kamala is getting 60-65 percent of the Jewish vote. That's way down from norms, actually.

Related: According to Israel National News,' A new poll published by Channel 12 News on Monday reveals that most Israelis prefer Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the role of Prime Minister, but the coalition he leads would not achieve 61 seats if elections were to be held today.' Bottom line, Likud would win 24 seats, with Naftali Bennett's theoretical centrist party winning 22 seats. That's more than two thirds of a 61seat majority in the Knesset. The Democrats, a merger of Labour and Meretz, win 9 seats. Likud and Bibi are clawing their way back to the lead in a bellicose nation that is politically center, center-right, right, right-right, and crazy-right. There is no viable left left in Israel, just the Democrats and Arab parties.

In Gaza, the IDF is hammering a new Hamas position in Jabalya. Hostage negotiations have resumed.

Several sources report that Israel will hit Iran again in retaliation for the drone attack on Bibi's house. We know nothing else. Watch this very closely.

Final Jew thoughts...lately one often finds oneself humming Friday prayers. Exit question: are we getting religulous?
