The Toxic Case of Barack Hussein Obama

Today we'll revisit the strange case of Barrack Hussein Obama. Yesterday we argued that MN Governor Tim Walz is a weird man, a strange guy, off in an uncanny way one can't quite put one's finger on. Most women won't see it. But Barry Soetoro is a deeply strange man. Just look at the bizarre official portrait above.

Obama speaks well but says nothing. He needed a teleprompter wherever he spoke. Quick, name one Obama quote. Just one. He doesn't speak another language. He doesn't play a musical instrument. Other than watching sports he has no hobbies that one can decern. Obama doesn't seem particularly well read and displays a magazine article level knowledge of whatever he's talking about. 

Obama forged no strong relationship with a world leader, or with a congressional leader.* Obama was bad at politicking and seemed annoyed by the process. His personal style badly soured congressional relations during the Obamacare and debt ceiling negotiations. When Democrats expressed concern over their political future in the summer of 2010, he sheepishly told them, 'Well, the big difference here and in '94 [when the GOP destroyed the Dems] was you've got me.' The GOP wiped out the Dems in 2010 and again 2014.

Obama's accomplishments in the oval office were...fleeting? Meagre? In 2009 he passed a stimulus bill which stimulated nothing but debt and inflation. Obamacare failed to lower costs and leaves us today with tens of millions still uninsured. Most of the Democrats who voted for Obamacare were out of office within a few election cycles. In his second term Obama was reduced to constitutionally dubious executive actions like DACA. On the foreign front the Iran deal was never submitted to the senate for ratification and Trump wisely withdrew. By 2016 even Democrats were wondering, is that it?

Barry couldn't drag Hillary across the finish line in 2016. And he spent 2024 scolding people for insufficiently supporting Kamala. Barry's wife did the same. Michelle Obama is the most blessed and privileged woman in human history. She is at once amazingly wealthy and the most admired woman in the world, yet somehow perpetually unhappy. Michelle comes off as a deeply unlikable scold. Smile, honey, it won't kill you.

Democrats should face some hard truths about Barrack Hussein Obama. Go back and look at the 2008 election results. That year the fundamentals all favored the Dems. Obama won 52.9 percent of the popular vote and 365 electoral votes. Which is a solid victory. But he didn't do as well as George Bush in 1988 (53.4, 426). Obama's victory wasn't transformative. We got some bad news for Barry O enthusiasts. Hillary would have done just as well in 2008. In 2012 Obama lost popular and electoral votes but still defeated the hapless Mitt Romney and an inept GOP campaign.

Obama stayed in Washington in 2017 and has been running a shadow government ever since. Ironically Obama seems more comfortable operating behind the scenes and unseen. During Trump's first term he coordinated the Resistance. During Biden's term he was the power behind the throne, making sure the government was littered with Obama people. His third term has been a domestic and foreign policy disaster. 

*Bill Clinton played the sax. Bush the Elder played guitar. W spoke Spanish, enjoyed caring for his property in Crawford and learned to paint. Ike was a golfer. So's Trump. Okay, so was Barry.
