We are going through the short story compilation and are extremely happy with what we see. We'll send it to Debbie next week. At this point we'd like to release the short story compilation 1 September at Nederland 1 December.
Reader(s) may recall our report on the Great Barrington BLM rally last week in which the local NAACP chair, Dennis Powell, spewed Juden Hass. We made a few inquires and did hear back, though not from the ADL, obviously. Why would they care? A few local Jewish groups issued some rather weak statements. We were invited to submit an editorial to the local Jewish Federation but declined. We doubt a piece would have made it through their ed process and a strongly worded letter circulated among al Yahud isn't what's needed.
We spoke to our neighbor up at the lake house, he's apolitical but loves Trump. We urged him to get his buddies together and have a MAGA rally. He told us a lot of his friends are talking about leaving Great Barrington and the Berkshires for good. He also told us that in the wake of the Wuhan Virus tons of New Yorkers are looking for property to buy up there. Now's the time to sell. We're not going anywhere.
On another note this is this blogs 4,000th post. Plenty of people start blogs and then get bored. We've kept this thing going, everyday for five years now. This was a blog, ironically, begun so we could talk about teaching. We haven't set foot in a class room in five years and doubt we'll ever do so again.
