WKRP Happy....Funeral Jingle?

Usually this time of year when we talk about WKRP they mention the infamous 'Turkeys Away' Episode.

As it happens we've been binge watching WKRP.

This is a classic 70's show that we haven't seen at all since the mid-90s when the 'Turkeys Away' episode came back into our consciousness.

As we work through the show from time to time we'll talk about episodes dimly remembered and rediscovered here.

Last night we found just such an episode. When a funeral director throws a pile of money at the station he demands they come up with a snappy jingle, you know, to appeal to the kids. The result is almost as funny as the Turkey Drop:

Now that's just funny.

Station manager Arthur Carlson listens as the commercial airs and calls the whole thing off. He tells Andy the programming director, 'Where I come from that's just bad taste.'

What a quaint notion, but still an important one in 1978.
