Monday Metal

The halftime show's Prince tribute was a nice touch, a wonderful touch. Were he alive, Prince undoubtedly would have been the hometown halftime act.

Prince managed to combine Little Richard and Jimi Hendrix for an utterly unique sound, a kind of dance-synth tinged with searing guitar riffs. The man's music was both interesting and deep.

Frankly, if you don't appreciate Prince you don't appreciate music.*

We loved his halftime show back in 2007:

*I said 'appreciate' not 'like'
