Will's Good Idea for the Week of 2-18-18

Still thinking about The New World, all its Power and Might.

This should be a one off novel, pretty short for that matter. All the action  happens off page, in the form of radio reports, telegrams, reports. 

A key theme would be the race to get the bomb.

Of course there is the matter of preserving the British Empire against Japanese encroachment. Simple really, the United States Navy makes a 'grand tour' of the Western Pacific with stops at Hong Kong, Singapore, etc. The Aussies can put a division in the latter, the Kiwis in the former. The Philippines would become a fortress. Actually, in early 1941 the army offered MacArthur the 26th Infantry Division, but he declined. He's get that now obviously.

Hmmmm....now who'd be president.
