That was a nice little storm we had on the first day of spring.
Fit my mood really.
I must say the writing is going as usual, as expected, there are always bombshells of course, but overall we're slugging along nicely. Still, I'm not getting what I usually get out of this. The prospect of wrapping up another book brings about nothing more than a 'meh' and a shrug.
As I've noted elsewhere I sit around all day editing and thinking up a thousand or maybe 1,500 words to write, blow half the day putzing around the internet, feel tired and exhausted at about 2:00 -just to get up and do it all again the next day. Every day. As also noted two Fridays ago I got up, cranked out a thousand words and then buried my grandfather. That's how you get this job.
[Actually Jerry Pournelle said you get your job by deleting thousands of words that are complete and ready to go-Ed]
Yeah?
[Yeah-Ed.]
Well, he's dead too, isn't he?'
[Ohhhhhh-kay.]
