Yesterday we took a full 5,000 words out of World War 1990: The Battle of the Polish Plain. This chapter showed General Franks, VII Corps and their maneuvers, including a skirmish that balloons into a Kursk like tank battle. I found it to be completely inadequate in relation to what we've been working on the last month or so.
This chapter was written over a year ago when we were still dealing with a 90,000 word behemoth and as such lacked detail and context. As noted before that book is now broken in two, leaving space to redo the chapter with more detail.
