Not the Public, Not the Police

Last year we wrote a piece about two horrifying murders on the part of the police.

Here's another one:

Alton Sterling was murdered becuase he was selling bootleg CDs and was not compliant enough for these police officers. He was tazed and then shot while on his back.

Go watch some of the other video clips, particularly the body cam footage. The officer's conduct and language was unbecoming to say the least.

It doesn't matter that Mr. Sterling was resisting and it doesn't matter that he had a gun in his pocket. This is America. The police are supposed to be the public and the public are supposed to be the police. Not in this case.

Of course authorities have declined to prosecute. At least the two officers have been fired. We hope Mr. Sterling's family sues them into bankruptcy
