The Gaza Show

If it's Friday, it's Palestinian temper tantrum day.

Quothe The Times of Israel:
Palestinian protesters in Gaza on Friday hurled explosives and firebombs at Israeli troops manning the border, during what the Israel Defense Forces described as “several attempts” to damage the fence between Israel and the Gaza Strip and cross over into Israeli territory.

Thousands of Palestinians were taking part in violent riots in five locations along the length of the border, the army said. In addition to trying to cross the barrier, a number of attacks were carried out, with demonstrators throwing Molotov cocktails and explosives at Israeli soldiers.
It's bad theatre. It's a bad show. Meyer, Hammerstein, Zanuck, Spielberg would tell Hamas not to put it on, no one's going to go see a film like this. It's Biolystock and Bloom at its worst. The investors who the Palestinians have swindled are at best indifferent.

It's really Hamas' last bid though. No one cares about Gaza. No one ever did. The Arabs always saw the Palestinains as a tool with which to bludgeon Israel. After all a Saudi or Kuwaiti or Egyptian would have an Israeli into his home sooner than he would have a Palestinian. And who can blame him?

Now the Sunni world has bigger problems. Saudi Arabia fights Iranian proxies in Yemen while Crown Prince Salman tacitly admits Israel's right to exist.

Give it the ol' hook, Hamas. No one is buying that ticket.
