Blooms

So we're going through Blooms, the sequel to A Line through the Desert.

We spent the weekend reading the chapter which describes Jake and Patricia and their daughter when Jake is in school on the GI Bill and the Army's Green to Gold ROTC program, followed by a chapter showing a trip to Israel for a presentation before the IDF Armored Corps.

Remember, Patricia's a Shicksa.

Heh.

We're pretty happy with what we see, though we are taking some risks. Also there's something not quite right about that ROTC chapter and we can't put our finger on it.

Aside from that readers of A Line through the Desert might have some questions about characters from the first book. We're not sure how to answer them or if we can even do so given Blooms' structure.
