If Apu is Racist...

Long time reader(s) know we live in Chindia.

With that in mind we asked two of our neighbors, Hiran and Kalyon, what they think of the Simpsons dropping Apu in the face of cultural insensitivity charges.

Two guys at the morning bus stop can speak for a billion people, right?

During deep discussion in the 2 minutes before the kids got on the buss we learned that Hiran and Kalyon don't care about Apu. They're not bothered by him in the least and expressed confusion and befuddlement that he would be killed off.

Let's take this further. Let's get all Jewey. The Simpsons once had Jewish standup Jackie Mason as a guest. The episode was filled with every cultural trope and stereotype one can imagine.

Jesus Christ, or Holy Moses anyway. The PC KGB seem determined to suck all the fun out of life.

They probably think this episode made the synagogue shooter's blood boil with rage.

And if they think Apu is racist, then they're the racists.
