Will's Good Idea for the Week of 11-18-18

You don't have to be a genius to understand what the sales numbers are telling you. World War 1990 sells. Each new book catapults to the top of its amazon category and pulls up the rest of the books in the series. So with the release of Polish Storm we're seeing a spike in sales for ANZACs, Arctic Storm, etc etc.

The general reader would like World War 1990: Esercito Italiano. As Neil Gaiman once said, when someone likes the book they just read, they want another one like the book they just read.

We'll have an opening scene where a couple of Italian armored brigades are making mincemeat of a couple of Soviet divisions in Hungary. We've already mentioned Italian Tornado Bombers, we'll show some of them on a bombing run. Then the war ends and NATO decides it needs to do something about the wanton slaughter in Yugoslavia. We'll have an amphib landing in Albania just for the hell of it.

Of course this would also be a blatant attempt to break in to the Italian market.

Hey, it worked with ANZACs!

So why not just write it next year while we get 2543 together?
