Bridge This

Everyone reading this blog knows this scene but we want you to watch it anyway:

This is almost exactly what it feels like conceiving, writing, fixing, editing and formatting a novel. But in reverse. The momentum is all in reverse. It's a long, hard slog and at the end we just want to get the goddamn project over with. Every time.

We begin running down the bridge and shouting, 'Clear the way! Clear! Clear! Roll it fellas!' and finish shouting, 'Right! Lets haul a little ass! Heave!'

God that creaking sound...
