Breitbart tells us that Senator Lamar Alexander (R Tennessee) is retiring.
Alexander was the TN gov and later served in Bush the Elder's cabinet.
He ran for president in 1996, walking around in plaid flannel and showing off his piano chops, Chopin and Charlie Daniels, he used to say he could play.
We liked him. Back then our motto was anybody but Dob Bole.
Here we go again. The lying bastards and pretty faces with sore knees in the press will say Alexander's retirement throws into question a previously safe seat.
Not really.
So the GOP's mad scramble begins.
Who will the Dem nominee be? Whose the young up and coming Dem in Tennessee?
Or will they re-nominate geriatric case Phil Bredesen who lost by 12 points?
Young Dems, is there anybody out there? Anybody at all?
