While today is St. Patrick's Day it is also our Synagogue's Purim carnival, another Jewish holiday commemorating someone's failure to kill us, this time Hamon of the Persian Empire.

Somewhere along the line Purim turned into a Hebrew Halloween and as we write this our girls are putting on their costumes.

Myself I'm going as a middle-aged dad, but in previous years:
