The salient feature in American politics is not race but class. President Trump is a poor man's idea of a rich man, he plays the nouveau riche role perfectly.

Beto and Barry are the elite's idea of a president. Slim, sleek, gangly. He is a liberal career woman's idea of a husband, boyish and sensitive.* Bobby Francis actually reminds us of our own Congressman, Tom Malinowski. He seems nice enough, for a Democrat.

Anyway, it's the pose that matters, the stance. And whatever that is for the Dems of Malibu and Scarsdale, Bobby has it.
