Who wants to tell her?
The Democrat Party is the party of slavery, secession, Jim Crow. The party of the Klan. The party that filibustered the Voting Rights Act. The party of the high tech lynching of Clarence Thomas. The party that works very hard to this day to keep schools segregated. The party of Jefferson Davis, George Wallace and Bobby Byrd, who just a few years ago was the most senior Democrat in the Senate.
The history of racism in America is the history of the Democrat Party.
Meanwhile the GOP is the party of mighty Abraham Lincoln. The party of John Brown. The party of Union, Abolition and the 14th Amendment. The party of desegregation. The party that broke the Voting Rights Act filibuster. The party that thinks a poor black kid in Anacostia should have the same educational opportunity as Patrick Kennedy and Chelsea Clinton.
The history of civil rights in America is the history of the Republican Party.
