7-25-19 in New Jersey

Rejoice! Rejoice! Rejoice, New Jersey!
It’s official. Drivers can kiss the hated traffic lines and lane changes at the Port Authority’s Hudson River crossings toll plazas goodbye.

Cashless toll collection is coming to the George Washington Bridge, Lincoln and Holland Tunnels. Officials provided some details about how it will work, after PA commissioners approved $240 million in contracts to make it happen on Thursday.
We haven't set foot in Manhattan in a year and a half, but still...

Those Lincoln Tunnel tolls get clogged all the way up the entrance ramp and back through the exit to the Turnpike.

The George Washington Bridge, GWB, or simply The George can take nearly an hour to cross.

We're not sure what saving 210 driving hours annually means, but we doubt the elimination of toll booths will be as beneficial as the authorities claim.
