None of the 216 children born across 132 villages in one Indian state over the last three months were girls, authorities have revealed. Officials in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand state have launched a probe over fears parents have been having sex-selective abortions. India outlawed sex-selective abortion in 1994, but it's still common practice to terminate female fetuses as they are seen as a financial burden, with families often needing to provide money for costly dowries, despite the fact they were outlawed in 1961. Baby boys are favoured as they are seen as the main breadwinner and the birth of a son is seen as a cause for celebration and family pride. This is literally impossible except through sex selective abortion.
Here in America, Feminists insist a woman has the 'right to chose' all the way through the ninth month of pregnancy and even after.
This blog wonders if feminists are proud of those Indian villages. Or aren't they? Should the number of sex selective abortions be normalized? That is, should the baby-girl/baby-boy abortion numbers be brought into parity. If so would this be accomplished by reducing the number of baby-girl abortions or increasing the number of baby-boy abortions?
Like feminism, American style abortion on demand is for white women of privilege who are worried pregnancy will interfere with their careers. But in the real world it leads to gendercide.
Remember, feminism is always bad for women, or in this case, baby-girls.
