So we see Vox shares our disdain for the Fab Four. Christ almighty for the first half of their careers the Beatles were a boy band.
Brian Wilson is the real genius of that era; and it drove him mad.
Like Vox Day, we've never really exposed our girls to the Beatles. Oh, the Stroocklettes have heard the Liverpool Boys here and there, for sure. But they listened to our (my music) as toddlers on the way to school.
When our oldest heard one of her friends listening to AC/DC she recognized Back in Black right away. Never prouder.
Heh, when Mrs. Stroock was pregnant with Middle Child we went to an AC/DC concert. In utero, baby.
For the most part we (I) kept the girls away from kids music. If they were going to listen to music, they'd listen to music. No Rafi. They've heard everything, including plenty of classical.
Has it worked? Well the oldest loves singing and plays violin. Not bad.
*Anyone know the reference?
