Governor Bel Edwards or Bell Weather?

There's a gubernatorial election in our grandmother's home state tomorrow. Breitbart has a good summary. According to Breitbart the race is tied. Governor John Bel Edwards is an old fashioned Southern Democrat, the kind of Democrat this nation could use.

So far Trump has demonstrated an ability to drag candidates across the finish line. 

We'll see if he does so here.

Southern elections can be quirky and the further south one goes, the quirkier they get. We're interested to see if Trump's growing popularity with black voters is transferable to other candidates. We're guessing no.
