What Will's Watching

End of Watch (2012): Officers Brian Taylor and Miguel Zavalla are Los Angeles ghetto cops out on the edge and alone. Friends and brothers, seemingly everyday they are hassled by the higher ups, other agencies, detectives, fellow officers. It's all on them. Interestingly shot in a semi-documentary style, over months we watch Taylor fall in love with Janet, played adorably by Anna Kendrick. Brilliantly acted by Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena. These are Oscar worthy performances.  A well done and hair raising finale left us sweating. 4/4 Stars.
