Washington's Words of Wisdom

By now you've all heard about the Chanukah Party attack in Monsey, New York. That's Rockland County, across the Hudson River from where we grew up. There's a huge Hasidic community in Rockland County and driving across the Tappan Zee Bridge one will inevitably see a bearded man behind the wheel of a van with several kids in the back.

As we've noted before, there's a wee Juden Hass problem within the African-American community. Al Sharpton, the Reverend Jackson, Calypso Louis, Tamika Mallory, the DC city councilmen who thinks the Jews have a weather control device.

The failed Governor of New York State and the failed Mayor of New York City both blame Trump. Cuomo are De Blasio are pigs.

We utterly torched someone on FB last night for making that same idiotic argument. Let us be clear, there has never, in all Jewish history, been a better place for Jews than America, starting with the Touro Synagogue founded in 1676 in Newport, Connecticut. 

When President Washington visited Newport, the synagogue sent a letter of welcome, the president wrote back:
It would be inconsistent with the frankness of my character not to avow that I am pleased with your favorable opinion of my administration, and fervent wishes for my felicity. May the Children of the Stock of Abraham, who dwell in this land, continue to merit and enjoy the good will of the other Inhabitants; while everyone shall sit in safety under his own vine and fig tree, and there shall be none to make him afraid. May the father of all mercies scatter light and not darkness in our paths, and make us all in our several vocations useful here, and in his own due time and way everlastingly happy.
Brings a goddamn tear to the eye.
