What Will's Watching

The Rover (2014): A post apocalyptic Australian film taking place ten years after a massive financial collapse. This movie packs lots of feel, ambience and air, all of which is rundown and tired. Comparisons to Mad Max are inevitable but it is the exact opposite of a car chase film. The Rover is a highly allegorical meditation on death and what one is willing to do to kill. Well acted by Guy Pierce and Robert Pattison (I know). But The Rover literally put us to sleep and we didn't get it till we looked it up. 2/4 stars.
