Short Story Comp

We were scared to write about the Battle of 73 Easting. We approached the task with nervous energy. We think that nervous energy comes out on the page.

We usually hit the PUBLISH button with great fear and trepidation. 

Now we're afraid to write our space opera battle short story idea. You people know why. By the time we're 10,000 words in we'll think, You know, this really needs to be fleshed out. What is this, six months work, tops?

Reader(s) may be thinking, Great! But we're thinking, Oh no, not again.

But a war between the Earth planets and Alpha Centauri is a good idea...
