This is going to be a good week for The Great Nuclear War of 1975. We're working on a post winter chapter that shows things are getting together. That is, people are coming out of their basements, getting to work, getting things done.
They're making axe-heads in Pittsfield. They're chopping down trees in Great Barrington. Their floating lumber down the Connecticut River to Hartford, where they're building New Deal style Government Camps.
All the while trouble looms. The Chinese report a military buildup in North Korea. Japan puts her military on alert. In Gillette, Wyoming, Rumsfeld wonders how he can put a task force together. Some in Casper argue for a preemptive nuclear strike. The President dithers.
