Mrs. Stroock is back to Indiana to deal with family matters, leaving us here alone with the Stroocklettes.
What a difference a few days makes. We spent Thursday and Friday working on The Great Salvation of 1976 and made great progress. Problems were obvious and obviously fixable. Additions were made. The plot was advanced. Here's what the chapter looks like:
-Cabinet meeting on energy issues
-Matt gets to Harrisburg, PA
-Ambassador to Japan meets PM about steel pipeline construction
-Military deploys to Alaska
-Alyeska Corp's Ed Moulin visits an Alaska pipeline camp
-SS Manhattan pushes through NW Passage and encounters Soviet sub*
-Truck convoy along the Alaska Highway encounters marauding Eskimos.
-President makes tour of project
-SS Manhattan arrives in Prudhoe Bay
-Matt gets to PA Interstate mountain tunnels southeast of Pittsburg
We need a few more chapters but are in great shape.
*We have never read or seen The Last Ship. We don't care.
