There was a snag yesterday and the boat still isn't in the water. Which is fine. When we say we feel nothing but fear and trepidation about the boat, we mean we feel nothing but fear and trepidation about the boat. Jesus, it's mid-July. We're ready to call the whole thing off.
We hadn't touched a guitar this summer till we got up here to the Stroock Northern Strategic Direction. We keep an Ibanez in the house and have been playing. We see no reason to resume. We're no better a player than we were ten years ago.
Someone from 'Sweden' continues to scan every last page of this blog. We're talking hundreds of hits an hour. Hi NSA intern. This blog reaffirms its loyalty to the United States. Maybe we're just being paranoid [Maybe?-Ed] but do you people have another explanation? We intend to finish our Inforos article on the 1/6 Mostly Peaceful Protest Persecutions today.
A decent day of writing. We've begun the 8th Infantry Division's wrap-up and worked on a 211th ACR scene. This mostly entails the regiment traveling east across ad-hoc corps' rear echelon, through UK 16 Armoured Division to the Weser. We lack crucial details, and we didn't bring the book we'd use to fill those in. We'll fix it in a few weeks. Characters are getting fleshed out, as are units. The 8th MD's three arty battalion call signs are Turmoil, Chaos and Mayhem. We are among the best there is at what we do.
What Will's Watching, The Major League Baseball Allstar Game: They did right by Hank Aaron, we'll say that for them. For foreign readers, the late Hank Aaron is baseball's all time homerun king*. An African American who helped break barriers, he did so with professionalism and dignity. Mr. Aaron was kind of like Pele and Gandhi rolled into one. The morons in MLB moved the game from Aaron's Atlanta (he played a dozen or so seasons for the Atlanta Braves) to Denver because they decided to get Woke over Georgia's Voter integrity laws. The GOP ran an ad slamming baseball for the Woke move late in the game. We enjoyed seeing Japanese sensation Shoheo Ohtani. The game being played in the Rocky Mountains, we saw some real moonshot homeruns. Overall we were entertained. 4/4
