Doings down at Joe Biden International Airport

A rainy Sunday and Monday here as Hurricane Henri blows through. Mrs. Stroock set the girls to work cleaning out the toys and art cabinet. They produced six garbage bags of c-r-a-p. I had to open each to make sure a kid didn't get swept up in all the chaos. 

Well fuckall, it's our wedding anniversary. We know this because FB reminded us. Twenty-three years and counting. Neither Mrs. Stroock or I are big on that stuff anymore. Which is hilarious because back when we were dating we used to celebrate monthly. Usually on weekends we took that girl to Friday's. But not on the anniversary. Oh no. For special nights we went to Red Lobster. There's a tentative plan to do a grand trip to Israel for number 25. Otherwise Mrs. Stroock has work to do, I have work to do. Right now we're sending each other cute gifs. 

By now reader(s) have seen the Taliban's re-creation of the Marines raising the Stars and Stripes on Iwo Jima. Between that and the pic of their fighters eating ice cream, it's clear the Taliban are master trollers. Dare we say troll level: Trump. The horror and humiliation continues at Joe Biden International Airport*. If you were the Taliban, why would you do anything to interfere?

The Sunday shows were a disaster for Joe. Blinkin told Fox's Chris Wallace that everyone's real emotional...JFC. Joe's presser was equally disastrous. The more they talk, the worse it gets. Were we to write an admin this incompetent no one would believe us. Blinkin, Austin, Milley, none of these cry babies will resign. It's incredible. Take heart, America. You didn't elect this guy.

Exit question: How much longer can we write about this crap?

We have a reading project for next spring, research for World War 1990: Operation Tet.** We'd love to start a project this week preparatory to going down the shore next week. So far we got nuthin. We sit around waiting for the spark. We did the Vietnam War this spring and the War Between the States last summer. Our biggest take away was Jeff Davis being a bad war leader. Not again. We're still all Lincolned out. 

This is the week we wrap up The Weser.'s third chapter. Lots of Brits and Krauts, and our Confederate friends of course. We'll be shoring up what's already written as well. We're happier with that than we thought we'd be.
