Saturday Updates

One week left. It's quiet and boring here. We glimpse our future and we don't like it. Our sleep was interrupted and filled with bad things. Lots of shouting. One of those nights where we start in bed, end up on the couch, get back into bed, etc... We should do a Thursday Downer on this [Fun-Ed]. That's why it's called the Thursday Downer.

We're sore after the machines yesterday, treadmill, rowing, Stairmaster, rope pully, bike. A good session though.

Our local groceries are politely asking customers to wear a mask. We are politely telling them to get fucked.

We bought some Molson to celebrate Canada's gold in women's soccer.

Another neighbor is moving. That's the third home on the immediate block that's for sale right now. In this market the house will go fast. So we'll get another Indian family moving in. It ain't called Chindia for nothing, folks.

Congratulations to Jessica Springsteen for bringing home the Silver in the Olympic equestrian competition. Yes, that's Bruce Springsteen's daughter [Wait, what?-Ed]. Oh that's right. The bard of the working man, troubadour of the farmer, musician of the marginalized...his little girl really likes horses. Oh, she also did some modeling. Meet him in the middle...of what? Laugh because it hurts too much to cry.  [Are you saying rich people can't have nice things?-Ed] No, we're saying they can't dress in blue jeans and T-shirts, lecture the rest of us, and send their kids to Rumson Country Day.

More slog reading of The Great Nuclear War of 1975. It'll be done by the end of the month. Right now we feel great trepidation. This is normal. Or is it? [Christ, you're a big girls blouse-Ed]. We're just not sure these one off scenes work. At this point it doesn't matter. This is it. This is the novel. Actually, all the Brit scenes work great. More Thatcher, Mountbatten, and Enoch Powell!

World War 1990: The Weser will hit 50,000 words next week. We're getting close. The 8th Mech and UK 4 Armoured chapters are done and we're doing the Confederate chapter. Oh, it's all gonna be there. Battle flags, rebel yells, [The full English, then?-Ed]. The whole damn thing. A friend asked about Loeb (remember that bastard?). The thought had crossed our mind and then we realized there was a perfect situation for him. He's back, baby!
