No we didn't go: 'President Biden on Tuesday traveled to New York and New Jersey to tour areas struck by deadly flooding from Tropical Storm Ida, but he received a hostile welcome from some North Jersey residents who heckled him and flashed middle fingers.' But people we've met at Trump rallies were there. 'A New Jersey man...' Joe went on to blame the flood on climate gobbledygook. Asshole.
Instead we spent yesterday hauling up the rest of the carpet, carpet pad and drying out the basement. We got a guy coming today to talk about the drywall. Hell, he and his team of elite Central American drywall men wanted to do the job today. We're nowhere near ready for that. Last night we dragged a book case up the stairs to see how much of a pain that would be? Would it be easier to take them apart? We've concluded we should drag them up whole. Better 12 trips than 50. Oldest daughter can help.
This blog turned into a diary of the crap we did the day before so subtly we hardly noticed. What's up with that? We decided one long form post works better than three or four short form posts. We like to provide readers with 500-1000 words, and we just don't feel like a lot of rants or political analysis. We'll do some analysis, but this ain't 2018 no more.
Our KGB handler wants an assessment of the war 20 years on. We'll write what's happened and then conclude. We think the record mixed at best, no? This will be a global view; Afghanistan, Iraq, Israel, Horn of Africa, rise of the security state, cultural rot from within, Gitmo, failure to bring Khalid Sheik Mohamed to trial, etc etc.
We got in a thousand words yesterday. The Confederate chapter is almost done. It's also shaping up the way we planned. Sometime events lead the plot in ways that make one's initial plans untenable. But by Adon's Ban, it looks like a black US Army officer is going to lead a bunch of Confederate good ol' boys in a near suicidal armored cavalry attack.
