Will is cranky, but GnR is still awesome

Baaaaah! A migraine yesterday, we think. Some detox too. A rough night.

We've taken to trolling self congratulating teachers on FB, reminding them that firefighters and marines don't praise themselves the way teachers do. Besides, they get their summers off. 'But we don't get paid!' each and every teacher pleads every time. 'Yeah, that's right,' we respond.

Sorry guys, saying 'Okay class, chapter three odd numbers only,' just isn't that hard. Those of you who sat through 18 months of virtual school probably came away unimpressed. You were right to be unimpressed, for teachers are an unimpressive lot. 

We've been on the inside. All these people do in the teacher's lounge is bitch. They bitch about the students. They bitch about the admin. Boy, do they ever bitch about parents wanting explanations. These people really don't like explaining themselves to parents. 

Continuing our GnR vivisection, here's another Use Your Illusion deep track, The Garden:

That 'No I won't' opener is eerie as heck, no? Axl is describing a brothel, or a drug house. Or both. A den of inequity for certain. Duff's bass takes us through the verse. The drums and guitar just punch the listener in the face at the chorus. Oh and who sings the chorus? No peeking . If the guitar solo makes you think of tracer rounds stabbing up into the sky, the guitar player did it right. Everything about The Garden is foreboding and ominous. Man, we hear this one we're back in December 1991.
