Did we collude with the Soviets this week? Did we ever: 'American politics keep getting sillier. For a few months now fans at sporting events across the nation have taken up an obscene anti-Joe Biden chant. On 2 October, NASCAR driver Brandon Brown won the Xfinity Race series at Talladega Super Speed way, in Alabama. Alabama is a deep red state in the Deep South and a hotbed of anti-Joe Biden resistance. As Brown was being interviewed by NBC Sports Network, fans behind him took up the anti-Joe Biden chant. The interviewer said, ‘…as you can hear the chants from the crowd, let’s go Brandon…’ This claim was so ridiculous pranksters took up ‘Let’s go Brandon’ as the new anti-Joe Biden chant. One can now purchase ‘Let’s go Brandon’ T-shirts, hats, even masks. Congressman Jeff Duncan (R, South Carolina) wore a ‘Let’s go Brandon’ mask on the floor of the House of Representatives. Congressman Bill Posey (R, Florida) ended a speech on the House floor with, ‘Let’s go Brandon’. The Biden Administration has bigger problems than obscene chants...Click it
Speaking of problems for Joe...The New York Post reports that Glenn Youngin is up 8 points in the Virginia Gubernatorial race. We've heard of another GOP internal poll that had Youngkin up 4. We have a man on the ground there and he said he'd heard Youngkin by 2 points. In our formula of circumstances ideas and candidates, all three seem to have turned against Clinton bagman Terry McAuliffe. Youngkin sure is peaking at the right time. Still, Youngkin must win beyond the margin of fraud/lawyer. This blog remains skeptical.
Moving north, we actually saw a Jack campaign commercial last night. Again, the man is relentlessly on point and tough, hammering Murphy about taxes. The last poll we saw showed Murphy up 50-41. That's more like it, though the margin is too wide. We'll stick with 51-45, or so. Reminder, this blog endorses Jack.
A victory in the culture war? NJ.com reports Columbus ain't goin' anywhere,‘Columbus Day’ will be back on the Rockaway Township School District’s calendar next school year after the board previously had voted to change its name this year...' This was not an isolated victory, 'Earlier this year, the Randolph Board of Education did an about-face on its decision to remove holiday names from the school calendar following tremendous backlash from the public.' The European brought civilization and god to a benighted continent steeped in darkness and paganism. Columbus was the light. This blog endorses the European conquest of North America 100%.
NJ.Com tells us that Super Storm Sandy rolled through New Jersey 9 years ago today. It was a really bad wind and rain storm that hung over the area for 12 hours. Mrs. Stroock and I were watching Monday Night Football when the power went out. It didn't come on for another four days. We lost some roof shingles and such, but came out fine. Oh, we had a one week old at home.
