Saturday Updates

We could still probably lift today if we really wanted to, but the knee remains sore and yesterday evening was not pleasant. This is where a smart guy would wait till Monday to hit the gym.

Fun fact: This blog's most read pages are Future Projects and Maps.

We are purchasing painting supplies today and prepping the basement for painting. You young fellas, there are four women in this house. So no, I do not get to pick the color. Upon inspection of basement we found the couch and chair are molding. Damn it.

The things:

We did not write for our Soviet handler this week because we're sick of talking about Joe Manchin, Krysten Sinema, infrastructure, and reconciliation. Ivan is none to happy about it and is threatening to release our FB conversations to TASS and Pravda. We shake with fear at the thought of our discussion of the 1989 Moscow Music Peace Festival becoming public. 'Maybe it's just because I'm from New Jersey, Max. But I kinda like Bon Jovi.' Next week we're going to have to explain Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and his paternity leave to Moscow, aren't we?

We have read a third of The Great Salvation of 1976 and are generally happy and pleased. Don't get excited. There's plenty of work to do. But 76 definitely feels like 75. That's a good thing. It has the same strengths and weaknesses. That makes sense as the two MS' were originally one long novel. JFC. We plan to read 76 throughout the weekend.

On the '75 front we await only the beta reader.

As previously noted we've written the Tornado bomber attack sequence in The Final Storm. We'll start another attack sequence this week. No idea which one. Overall the MS stands at 54,000 words.

Each day we creep perilously closer to switching to The Weser. In the long run this means The Weser and The Final Storm would merely swap release order spots. You people think you can wait till next summer to see how World War Three ends? I'm just asking to be nice. I write what I want.
