Biden is Supreme

By now you've all heard that Justice Stephen Breyer is retiring. Our first thought was Remember Brett Kavanaugh. Our second thought was Payback's a Bitch. Amateurs talk strategy and professionals talk logistics, they say. In this case the former are thinking about Joe Manchin, the latter are thinking about the four or five Senate Republicans who would probably vote to confirm Biden's nominee. These are Murkowski, Romney, Collins, Graham....anyone else?

The Kamala to the Supreme Court thing is interesting. But it will never happen and doesn't matter in the long run. We have no thoughts on other potential nominees. Joe's pick won't alter the balance of the court in the slightest. Cocaine Mitch confirms judges, and strategically it might be better to let this nominee go through without too much trouble. If there's something that the GOP can exploit, by all means exploit that something. We do like the idea of turning the torch on them. But we doubt the GOP can bring about the rendering of garments, self-flagellation, pestilence, plague, misery, despair and the downfall of society.

Oh well.

Then again, it snowed in Jerusalem. These may truly be the end of times. We are expecting a Nor'easter here in New Jersey. For those who don't know, that's when a weather system comes down from the Canadian maritime provinces. Post your  best Newfie jokes in comments. Bastards. The snowblower is ready to go. We have three day's provisions, penguin traps, 60 rounds of anti-polar bear ammo, two harpoons should a Bowhead Whale show up in the drainage ditch, and an English-Eskimo dictionary. 

What Will's watching, The Expanse, season-5, final episode. Just well done all around with lots of tension. At first we thought the Marco Innaro sub-plot was lame. Now it's awesome. He's the Osama bin Laden of the Solar System. The ending was set up, we thought, and then took a surprise turn. We'll probably rewatch since there was a lot of stuff happening that we didn't appreciate at the time. [You mean you didn't get it-Ed] Yeah, that's right.4/4
