Will's Third Good Idea for 2022

Good morning. It's 5 degrees F here in New Jersey. That's negative 15 for those of you using smaller numbers than us.

We stained the basement steps yesterday. The stain can said cherry. But after application it looked red. It's calmed down a bit this morning, and that stairway isn't well lit. But that ain't the colour we thought we were getting. Touching up and redoing the trim are all that remain.

So there was another synagogue attack in America. This one by an Islamic whack job demanding the release of some Jihadi witch. You know the FBI is claiming the synagogue was incidental? Yeah sure. One days Jews won't have to worry about Islamists doing violence to them. That day is not today. We await the excuse making by the usual suspects.

Great games yesterday. We predicted the Raiders would defeat the Bengals, but changed our mind right after we hit the publish button. Congrats, Bengals. Bills 47, Patriots 10 was a great game, reader(s) wonder? We actually enjoy watching epic beat downs like the that.

The Confederate Contingent asks if publishing a forward World War 1990 novel and wrapping up the war will diminish interest in the series. Which is actually an interesting question and one we hadn't thought of. Our first pass answer is no. People like prequels and sequels to movie sagas that have wrapped up the story line, usually. Look at all the Star Wars novels. The same rule should apply to World War 1990. Besides, we've been teasing the war's end for what, seven years? Readers deserve to see how this thing wraps up.

Obviously The Weser comes after The Final Storm. Esercito Italiano after that? The best reason for Esercito Italiano is that it's a blatant attempt to break into the Italian market. [You have never sold a copy of Nederland on Amazon.NL-Ed] True. We think the Dutch are purchasing off Amazon.UK. [You've no evidence for that-Ed] What sounds more likely? No one in the Netherlands has ever bought one of our books, not one Dutchman, ever? Or they're buying them off another version of Amazon? Checking numbers right now, Germany is our 5th best selling nation. Huh. Anyway, the Italian thing is our good idea.
